- A magnificent pair of extra large monolithic two tone opaline ceiling pendants, England circa 1920. - These incredible examples are of a wonderful heavy quality with the most amazing bronze galleries and unusual glass shades. The two-tone shades were achieved by masking the glass and acid-etching or frosting specific sections while leaving the middle band clear and transparent. There is a small hole to the underneath of each shade for ventilation, and which were prevalent in early twentieth century lighting. - The empire-style brass galleries have aged to the most wonderful deep colour, with bullion detail across the top and the most increadible floral screws which secure the heavy monolithic glass shades. - Rewired with dark brown braided flex and PAT tested, supplied with modern three tier ceiling hooks. - Height 43cm, Width 45cm, Depth 45cm. - Price is for the pair.
