Purple robe jade is a trade name for a decorative metamorphic rock (not true jade) composed mainly of muscovite and plagioclase minerals, featuring distinctive lavender and pale green banding. It typically displays contrasting layers or bands of chocolate-purple, lavender, and soft green (caused by iron content in the muscovite), sometimes with a shimmering or satin-like finish.
