Advanced LED UVC Technology Unlike conventional UV systems, LED UVC technology provides instant ON/OFF operation with no warm-up time. When water flows, the system automatically activates the UVC LEDs to begin disinfection. When water flow stops, the system returns to standby, reducing unnecessary power consumption and extending operating life. The system provides up to 1.17 W (1,170 mW) of UVC LED output with a total power consumption of only 48 W. The system is designed for flow rates up to 50 L/min when installed under the specified operating conditions. Actual flow will depend on system pressure, plumbing and other treatment equipment. How long do the UVC LEDs last? The UVC LEDs have an operating life of up to 8,000 hours. Because the system operates on demand when water flows, actual service life will depend on usage. Does it use a traditional UV lamp? No. It uses LED UVC technology rather than a conventional mercury UV lamp. Does it operate continuously? The system is flow activated. The UVC LEDs automatically operate when water is flowing and return to standby when flow stops. Does it require pre-filtration? For effective UVC disinfection, the incoming water should be appropriately pre-treated. Sediment, turbidity and other contaminants can reduce UVC transmission and disinfection performance.
