Aluminium Machine Vision Camera Housing Our aluminium machine vision camera housing protects compatible industrial cameras and lenses against moisture and dust. The VA-MVEC-367-ALU is designed for machine vision cameras with a maximum body size of 29 × 29 mm and lenses with a maximum diameter and length of 40 mm. The enclosure features a fixed aluminium housing with integrated internal mounting points for direct and secure installation of the camera and lens assembly. Its unbranded exterior also makes the housing suitable for OEMs and system integrators that want to apply their own company branding. Protect your machine vision camera with a housing Machine vision cameras are important components in industrial automation, inspection and process-control systems. The VA-MVEC-367-ALU provides an enclosed environment around the camera and lens to help protect the imaging setup against dust, moisture and accidental adjustment. The enclosure is suitable for selected machine vision cameras from Daheng Imaging, Basler, Allied Vision Technologies (AVT), JAI and FLIR. IP67 waterproof enclosure The VA-MVEC-367-ALU has an IP67 rating and uses an aluminium body, rubber seals and a PMMA window. It is designed for continuous use in industrial environments where the camera may be exposed to dust or moisture. The enclosure has two dedicated cable-entry positions for the camera's data and I/O connections. Fixed-length camera housing Unlike the modular VA-MVEC-167 and VA-MVEC-267 enclosure designs, the VA-MVEC-367-ALU uses a fixed housing configuration. The maximum supported lens dimensions are: Maximum lens diameter: 40 mm Maximum lens length: 40 mm Extension rings: Not supported Lens length is measured from the front of the C-mount camera to the front of the lens. Integrated camera mounting The VA-MVEC-367-ALU contains integrated internal mounting points, allowing the camera and lens assembly to be mounted directly inside the enclosure without separate adapter or mounting plates. This matrix shows the supported camera models, available lens configurations, and the corresponding housing suitability. For Daheng Imaging cameras, the enclosure supports compatible models from the MER / MER2 Series, ME2S and MER3 families, subject to the camera and lens dimensional requirements specified in the VA-MVEC datasheet. Compatible Camera Families from Basler, AVT, JAI and FLIR The VA-MVEC-367-ALU is also designed to accommodate selected camera families from several established machine vision manufacturers: Basler: ace Classic, ace U, ace L AVT / Allied Vision: Manta, Mako, Alvium JAI: GO, GO-X FLIR: Blackfly, Blackfly S V1, Grasshopper3 Compatibility depends on the exact camera body dimensions, connector position, mounting configuration and selected lens. The complete camera and lens assembly must remain within the enclosure's maximum supported dimensions. Cable installation The VA-MVEC-367-ALU provides two cable entries: One entry for approximately 6.5 mm diameter cable One entry for approximately 5 mm diameter cable Minimum cable diameter specified for the VA-MVEC series: 4.3 mm A minimum of 100 mm of cable must remain between the housing and the mounting surface. The cable must not be placed under mechanical tension or excessive bending at the cable entry. High-flex cables must not be used with VA-MVEC enclosures. Due to their physical properties, high-flex cables cannot be securely clamped by the cable glands or may prevent the enclosure from closing correctly, which can compromise the IP67 seal.
