Shipibo Ceramic ~ parrot ~ whistle
Handbuilt ceramic bird from the Peruvian Amazon. Lily Panduro is a master ceramic artist form the Shipibo-Konibo Indigenous community near Pucallpa, Peru. These pieces are each one of a kind and represent the different animal spirits that protect the rainforest. Lily collects the clay and pit fires the pieces and then paints them with the sacred patterns characteristic of her community. The designs represent the ayahuasca visions that are central to the cosmology and culture of this ancient civilization. Approx 6"long x 3" tall 2.5" wide
