Scientific name: Grevillea striata Description: Heartwood is dark reddish brown with lighter reddish grey rays. The grain has a fairly coarse texture and straight grain. Beefwood turns, glues, and finishes well. Region: Australia Notes: Turning blanks are cut from premium kiln-dried lumber. Sapwood is not considered a defect and may be found in some blanks. Due to the nature of wood, no two pieces are alike, and movement, shrinkage or expansion can occur. Dimensions may vary +/- ⅛" The pictures are representative photos.
