Declaration of Independence Portable Desk

Thomas Jefferson designed the original portable writing desk on which he drafted the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Today, the original desk is preserved in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. In collaboration with the Smithsonian and Monticello, Owen Suter's handcrafted a limited edition of 100 reproductions based on Jefferson’s original design. Each desk is made from solid mahogany and is individually signed and numbered.
