One-of-a-Kind Grapevine Study A single edition. Where the original Aetheron traces a clean architectural spiral, this piece grows. Reworked into a narrower silhouette with delicate curling tendrils reminiscent of a grapevine reaching for its next hold, this one-off study reimagines the Aetheron as something closer to a living plant than a sculpture — caught mid-climb, glasses suspended like fruit along the vine. The specially processed white oak that gives the Aetheron its signature bend has been coaxed even further here — narrower, more sinuous, and finished with fine curling accents formed through the same bending technique that shapes the main spiral. Every curl and twist is wood pushed into its final form by hand, then dried and set permanently in place. It rises from a base of solid cherry, shaped to read less like a tabletop and more like a weathered outcrop of stone — as if the vine simply found a foothold and grew from it. This is not a production piece. It was made once, as an exploration of how far the bending process could be pushed, and it will not be exactly reproduced. Details Single edition piece Narrow, organic helical form in specially processed white oak, with fine tendril details formed entirely by bending Holds two wine glasses by the stem Base of solid cherry, shaped and finished to resemble natural stone Hand-sanded and finished to protect and enhance the grain Materials & Process Like every piece in the Aetheron line, the helix begins as a straight length of specially processed white oak, formed by hand into its curved silhouette before undergoing a controlled drying period. What sets this piece apart is how far that bending was taken: narrower ribbons, tighter curls, and a more complex tendril structure. It took considerably longer than a standard Aetheron and can't be shortcut.
