Ladies who Shoot their Lunch 2006 Shiraz Limited Museum Release

To celebrate International Shiraz Day and 20 years of winemaking, we are delighted to bring you an exclusive ‘under the counteroffer’ straight from Matt Fowles Cellar: 2006 Ladies who Shoot their Lunch Shiraz. At time of first release this wine had aromas of spicy cedar, plum and berry fruit with some pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon. This Shiraz was medium bodied, with intense flavours, fine structure and good length of flavour. While the fruit has lowered in intensity, which is expected in a 20-year-old wine, amazingly the structure remains the same. The aromas lift from the glass with intense plum jam, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. The palate comes to life with aniseed, liquorice and white pepper. Firm tannins lead to a generous long-lasting finish.
