Whether commissioning new backbone fiber runs in a hyperscale data hall, splicing into existing infrastructure during a capacity expansion, or performing mid-span access on armored cable in a live colocation environment, the TK-DC08 gives technicians the right tool for every stage of the fiber installation workflow, all organized in a rugged technician backpack built for daily on-site use. Features Features Prepare armored and standard fiber cable for termination and splicing across backbone installations and mid-span access work with the AST-210 for armored fiber slitting and ringing, CST-1900 for standard jacket stripping across a wide range of outer diameters, and JIC-375 for precise multi-layer stripping of jackets, buffer layers, and coatings Cut and slit fiber cable with the right tool for each material. JIC-186 cuts Kevlar and aramid yarn strength members cleanly in a single pass, JIC-63050 handles high-leverage cable cutting, KN-7 covers general cable splicing, and RCS-30 slits duct and cable with a ratcheting action. Eliminate frayed cuts, slow progress, and tool damage that comes from using the wrong cutter on high-strength fiber cable materials. Separate individual ribbon fibers from multi-fiber ribbon cable for splice prep with RFS-100, then clean bare fiber and connector end-faces before splicing and termination using CWP-125 cotton swabs, FCF-3 Precision Cleaning Fluid and DW-90 dry wipes or FW-50 wet wipes.
