Joseph Marples 1.5" Bradawl
Joseph Marples have been making woodworking tools in Sheffield since 1840. A Bradawl is used for marking screw or nail holes in wood. The tip looks similar to a flathead screwdriver but is designed to open up the grain in a piece of wood to help start a screw and reduce the risk of the wood splitting. They are a great tool for any tool box. Just don't try to use one as a screwdriver. Beech handle with aa 1.5" metal tip.
