This expertly crafted Banko-yaki kyusu (teapot) is made from the iconic Banko shidei (紫泥) clay, known for its muted purple colour and ability to subtly reduce the astringency of tea. Compared to other shidei kyusu, this clay is a subtler, browner shade of purple. The teapot's built-in ceramic debeso filter is perfect for naturally straining tea. Made by Yamamoto Taisen (山本太仙) of Taisen Kiln (太仙窯)
