Falcon Bookends

Inspired by falconry, one of the most revered traditional sports in the UAE, this bookend set pays homage to a practice deeply rooted in the region’s cultural heritage and still widely upheld today. The design captures the fleeting, poetic moment of a falcon soaring through the blue sky, its wings outstretched and feathers moving gracefully with the wind. Each bookend features a composition of feathers sourced from purebred white Gyr Falcons in the UAE. These feathers are vertically arranged and encased within orthogonal resin forms, rendered in a soft blue gradient that reflects the varying hues of the sky. The piece highlights the delicate beauty and intricate detailing of the feathers, creating a striking contrast of texture and color while elegantly framing books on either side.
