Sock 101 - Sundays, May 3, 17, & 31, 12-2pm

Ready to dive into sock making? Join us as we learn the fundamentals of sock making by making a basic ankle sock! In this class, we will work together to knit a sock from start to finish on either magic loop or dpns - your choice! Beginner sock knitters welcome! Cost: $85 for three, 2-hour sessions Location: Knotty Lamb Required Skills: Advanced beginner. Must have basic knitting skills - cast on, knit, purl, basic increases & decreases, work in the round. No previous sock knitting experience necessary. Recommended Materials: We will be following the pattern for the Down Low Shorties. Yarn: Fingering weight sock yarn in the following yardage: *Striped version: MC (Pale Pink): Approximately 80 - 120 yards CC1 (Turquoise): Approximately 5 - 7 yards CC2 (Cream Speckled): Approximately 20 - 28 yards CC3 (Orange): Approximately 60 - 80 yards *Solid version: MC (Purple): Approximately 250 yards CC (Yellow): Approximately 50 yards Needles: For Down Low Shorties: US 1 (2.25 mm) circular needle with a 32" or 40" cable OR DPNs Notions: Locking stitch markers Tapestry needle for weaving in ends Gauge: 40 sts over 4” (10 cm) and 28 rows, knit in the round and blocked.
