Watercolor Greetings | Multiple Dates Available

Beginners welcome! Spring is in the air with these fun floral greetings! Artist Instructor, Lynn Peters, will walk you through a step-by-step process, so that even watercolor beginners can create charming cards to celebrate the season. You'll sketch simple flowers, add a bit of paint, and turn them into a set of "perfectly imperfect" botanical greeting cards. In the process, you'll learn a bit about color mixing and how to use your paintbrush. Bring your own watercolors, or you can rent or buy your colors from us! We'll provide everything else, including coffee and a snack. In addition to taking home your cards and envelopes, you'll receive a how-to handout so you can make more! A note on supplies: if your "Supplies" preference is marked sold out but other spots are still available, please contact us and we can accommodate. What to Expect: Guided Art Project: No previous watercolor experience (or perfectionism) is required! Our professional artist will provide step-by-step guidance to help you create your original work Complimentary Beverage and Refreshments: Enjoy a selection of coffee, tea, and snacks to enhance your creative experience Souvenir: Take home your creations! Attendees will leave with at least three completed cards, materials, and skills to make more Minimum attendees 5, maximum 10. Sessions are geared for ages 16+. WORKSHOP OFFERINGS $45 per person additional $5 to rent or $15 to buy a set of red, yellow, and blue high-quality watercolors About the Instructor | Lynn R Peters grew up in a family of artists and makers, so she’s always been inclined to “putter with art supplies.” Being home during the early days of the pandemic pushed her to paint more regularly, and to dabble with pens and various ink colors. What emerged was a more whimsical style combining doodles and watercolor. Peters has exhibited her paintings at the Cedarburg Cultural Center, the Art Garage, and the Rahr-West Museum. She painted a series of on-trail murals for the Town of Ledgeview, a project she describes as “not for the faint of heart.”
