Morey-Saint-Denis "En la rue de Vergy" sits on the upper slopes of the Côte de Nuits, the lieu-dit climbing above the village's Grand Crus to roughly 320 meters. Bruno Clair farms this 0.54-hectare parcel of Pinot Noir, planted in 1980 on limestone over Premeaux limestone and white oolites, the south-east aspect and altitude lending mineral lift. Fermented with 10–20% whole bunches and aged 18–20 months in oak (around 30% new), the 2022 pours ruby red with aromas of red and black fruits, building a powerful, complex frame. Lay down five years minimum.
