18th Century Chinese Lohans
These beautifully framed prints are faithful reproductions of original 18th century Chinese watercolours dating back to the Qing dynasty, treasured family heirlooms that once belonged to Alice's father-in-law who was a passionate collector of Asian art. Alice has carefully reproduced them as fine art prints so that they can find a place in your home too. Each Lohan has its own distinct personality shown in the beautifully traditional Chinese dress, the intricate patterns, and the quiet character captured in every portrait. Hung together as a set of six they make a wonderfully striking gallery wall with real presence and a sense of story. They are just as striking arranged in smaller groups of two or four, or even hung individually as a quieter detail. Available individually or as a complete set of six. Each frame is handmade here in the UK and produced in a red glossy 'Gesso' finish. The mounts are hand-painted in contrasting shades of yellow, an added detail and a small nod to the colours so often found in the original paintings. As always we offer a bespoke service and these prints can be made to any size, with a specific coloured Gesso frame.
