Antique copper jug

This antique copper jug was probably an ale jug, but sadly it has lost its lid. It has had a life, but it still holds water so it could be used as a very decorative holder for fresh flowers, or alternatively, for dried flowers. It stands 171 mm (6.75 inches) high with a diameter at the base of 147 mm (5.75 inches). Engraved on the front are the intials R * C * N K. It would date from around 1850.
