Part of the iconic Platner Collection introduced in 1966, the table reflects Platner’s attempt to create what he described as “decorative, gentle, graceful” forms through industrial materials. The base is constructed from dozens of welded steel rods, creating the collection’s signature moiré-like visual effect and giving the piece both transparency and sculptural weight. This version features a black marble top with dramatic white veining, adding a refined contrast to the polished nickel-plated steel base.
