Collected Shore Pine (PCA-03)
This shore pine was collected by the legendary collector Anton Nijhuis on Vancouver Island, BC. It was dug out of a marsh where the trees grow very slowly. Although it is only about the size of your thumb, it is estimated to be around 100 years. The bark fissures on this tree are insane! It has never been styled and still has some mountain soil in its core. Within a few short years, this tree will make a nice bunjin. Shore pines are known for their short needles and excellent back budding ability.
