Head of the charity and fumbalinas Gold Member Lisa, has asked if we would pledge the donation as part of The Big Give Christmas Challenge which is run by Big Give, an independent UK charity that was founded in 2007 by philanthropist Sir Alec Reed - the founder of the Reed recruitment group. The idea behind the Christmas Challenge is to encourage more charitable giving by matching donations (raising double the funds pledged)! The way the campaign works is that donations made during the challenge are matched, effectively doubling their value. That means our incredible fundraising of £1,935 will become £3,870 for the Pink Ribbon Foundation, helping us support even more people affected by breast cancer. Thanks again all ! Charity No. 1080839) is a UK grant-making trust dedicated to supporting charities and organisations that provide care, services, and practical assistance to people affected by breast cancer. The Foundation also funds projects that helpadvance understanding, early detection, and treatment of the disease. Established in 2000, the Pink Ribbon Foundation has provided financial support to more than 300 different breast cancer charities across the UK, helping to fund vital services, specialist equipment, counselling, patient support programmes, awareness initiatives and research projects.
