Brown Tärnsjö Grain: Tärnsjö Grain comes from Tärnsjö Garveri, a Swedish tannery that has vegetable-tanned leather in the town of Tärnsjö since 1873. The entire process happens under one roof, using only Swedish cattle hides tanned the traditional way with bark extracts refined over generations. The result is a full grain leather with a rich, natural surface that develops a deep, distinctive patina with wear. Tärnsjö is now run by Axel Bodén, the fifth generation of tannery owners in his family and one of only three full vegetable tanneries left in Sweden. Their philosophy is to keep the leather as pure and natural as possible: no sanding, no heavy paint, no corrected grain to fake a flawless surface. As Bodén puts it, the small marks and scars you sometimes see in the leather are simply proof it came from an animal. SIZING: The Morris last runs about a half size large compared to standard Brannock sizing, so we recommend sizing down a half size. This should align with the size you typically wear in other common heritage brands. While the Morris is offered in a D width, it has a generous fit that comfortably accommodates many E-width feet.
