US psych Holy Grail from 1969! Killer Doorsy organ and fuzzed-out guitars, including all-time psychedelic classics like “Colors”, “Workshop” and “Mind Machine”. Transplanted from Portland to the Sunset Strip, Hunger played at all the hip places (Whisky a Go Go, Cheetah, Kaleidoscope…), rubbing shoulders with bands like Hour Glass (pre-Allman Brothers), the Doors or Steppenwolf. In 1969 they released “Strictly from Hunger!” for the small Public label.
