Gilt bronze, size 6 3/4. 2.8mm band flaring to the reeded shoulders. Oval bezel cut with chevrons, perhaps representing palm fronds. See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.75 for three examples dated from late Roman to medieval, about 6th-12th century AD. Professionally refurbished with 24karat gold overlay for contemporary wear.
