Rolex 5513 Zinc Sulfide

A particularly rare and collectible Rolex Submariner Ref. 5513, presented in a beautiful and highly authentic vintage condition. The case is exceptionally sharp and well preserved, retaining its crisp original lines, defined edges and strong proportions. It shows only light signs of age and wear and remains in a very attractive original condition. A particularly noteworthy feature of this example is its rare original Zinc Sulfide dial, an unusual and highly sought-after configuration among vintage Submariner 5513 examples. The dial has developed a beautiful, warm Tritium patina over the decades. The original Tritium hands are perfectly consistent with the dial, while the watch also retains its original Tritium bezel, further enhancing its authentic vintage character. The movement is running strongly and reliably, performing very well for its age. The watch is fitted with its original Rolex 7836 folded Oyster bracelet. The bracelet remains in very attractive original condition and shows only light signs of use consistent with its age. The clasp appears to have been replaced at some point during a Rolex service, which is not uncommon for vintage Rolex bracelets.
