Before installing, ensure the mating surfaces on the engine case and the clutch cover are completely clean and free of old, dried gasket material or debris. The use of a plastic scraper is recommended to avoid damaging the soft aluminum surfaces. This gasket should be installed dry; do not use liquid silicone or RTV sealants, as excess material can squeeze into the oil galleries and potentially cause internal oil starvation. When tightening the cover bolts, always follow a star pattern to ensure uniform pressure across the entire gasket surface.
