Phoskitin Capsules for dogs & cats, 10/100 caps

Phoskitin phosphate binder from Ecora Bioceuticals is recommended in cases of CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) or Renal failure in dogs and cats. Supports renal function in cases of chronic renal insufficiency. It is a proprietary blend of three phosphate binders: ferric citrate, calcium acetate, and chitosan that work within the gastrointestinal tract. Omega-3 fatty acids and beta-glucans are also included in the formulation to support renal health and for those suffering from hyperphosphatemia. Phosphate from food sources is bound and excreted rather than absorbed. The combination of active ingredients in Phoskitin provides a multimodal approach to phosphate binding in cats and dogs. Utilizing everyday minerals and polysaccharides, Phoskitin can bind with dietary phosphate to form an insoluble and non-absorbable compound, subsequently excreted in the feces. Phoskitin has three different phosphate-binding actions for more ways to better balance the phosphate levels reaching the kidneys. Omega-3s are commonly recommended to support renal health, and beta-glucans modulate the oxidative stress response. Dosage: Usual dosage is 1 capsule per 11kg bodyweight in dogs & cats in each major meal. Sprinkle capsule can be opened and poured over food or as advised by practicing veterinarian.
