Mother complete primary and secondary clutches. Made as an OE-style bolt-on replacement for 2006-2011 Outlander 800/800R and 2007-2011 Renegade 800/800R. Comes pre-balanced with model-specific spring and weights in primary, and helix and spring in secondary. Each model goes through Harvey's in-house product development and longevity testing before being released to ensure it fits our high-quality standards. PRIMARY IMPROVEMENTS: The original Can-Am OEM primary had too shallow of a notch in the spring seat, which caused it to scrub against the side of the 1-way bearing while it spun, creating friction and heat. The immediate effect was stiff/ hard gear shifting, and eventually clutch/bearing failures. That has been addressed on the Mother Clutcher™ with added space for the bearing to spin freely. All our Can-Am clutches come with metal rollers (select OEMs had plastic). Additionally, we have a special Mother Clutcher™-formulated hard coating in the metal rollers that keeps them rolling smoothly even in dirty conditions. That keeps them from binding, hanging up, or flat-spotting the weights, leading to prolonged weight and roller life. This Mother Clutcher™ also has a proprietary, high-quality button pad feature, specially manufactured in Japan. Secondary replaces OE part numbers: outer half 420280178, inner half 420248238, driven shaft 420220914, compression spring 420238176, helix 420280473.
