Construction We selected 7075 aluminum over steel or other materials for its excellent characteristics for this specific application. 7075 is commonly used in Aerospace and Defense applications for gears, shafts and sprockets where an uncompromising, corrosion resistant material is required. Unlike the 6000-grade aluminum commonly used in the automotive industry, 7075 has superior durability, high compressive strength, and higher tensile strength than most grades of steel and titanium, making it great for use as a high-speed pulley with a single mounting nut that runs the risk of deformation due to rotational stresses. Using precision machining and wire EDM technology, we ensure a perfect fit every time with better tolerances than OEM!
