Three Words Commentary by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche
Nectar from the Mouth of the Guru is Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche’s commentary on The Three Words That Strike the Vital Point of Garab Dorje (ca. 665), a fundamental text of the Nyingma tradition of dzokchen. It became a widely used instruction for introducing the nature of mind, and many great teachers, such as Vimalamitra, Longchen Rabjam, and Jigme Lingpa have written commentaries on it over the centuries. Dza Patrül Rinpoche (1808–1887), a great meditation master, wrote a brief text on Garab Dorje’s root text, entitled The Special Teaching of the Wise and Glorious King, then wrote an commentary on his own text. This publication is the edited transcript of a series of talks Dilgo Khyentse gave on Patrul Rinpoche’s auto-commentary in 1979, here translated by Sean Price. 57 pp.
