Coltsfoot Tussilago farfara Coltsfoot is a distinctive perennial that produces bright yellow flowers in early spring, often before its large, rounded leaves emerge. Its flowers provide one of the earliest available food sources for emerging insects. The plant spreads readily and is best suited to informal naturalized areas where its vigorous growth can be managed.
