The Casper Jacket is made-to-order in London using a single-needle machine, continuing our approach to slow, considered garment construction. You may come across some slightly wobbly stitching, chalk notches, or other small traces of the making process on your product, but we like to celebrate the unique character of each piece. Rest assured, these details will not affect the fit or wear of the jacket; however, please be certain you are comfortable with this when making a purchase. Made from British 6oz Waxed Cotton in a Washed Blue finish, the Casper Jacket has a lighter, more supple handle while retaining the weather-resistant qualities of traditional waxed cloth. The fabric is sourced from limited deadstock, meaning only a small quantity is available and, once used, it cannot be reproduced or restocked. Cut with a relaxed, boxy silhouette, the jacket combines a high convertible collar, exposed metal zips and an adjustable drawcord hem. External cotton twill tape is applied along the seams, emphasising the panelled construction and making the process of how the jacket is assembled a visible part of the design. Key Features British 6oz Deadstock Waxed Cotton Made from an extremely limited quantity of British 6oz waxed cotton in a Washed Blue finish. As a deadstock fabric, availability is restricted to the material we currently have and cannot be replenished once exhausted. The washed treatment gives the cloth a soft, worn-in appearance with natural variations in colour, texture and finish. External Twill-Taped Seams Cotton twill tape is applied externally along the seams, highlighting the construction of the jacket rather than concealing it. The contrasting taped lines give definition to the panels and form a distinctive part of the Casper Jacket's character. Convertible High Stand Collar The generous collar can be worn raised and fully zipped for a more structured, protective silhouette or opened and folded back for a softer, more relaxed shape. Exposed Metal Zip Closure A full-length metal zip runs through the centre front and into the collar, providing a simple functional closure that complements the utilitarian character of the waxed cotton. Angled Zip Pockets Two angled front pockets feature exposed metal zip closures, providing secure everyday storage while continuing the hardware detailing across the jacket. Panelled Construction The jacket is constructed through a series of defined panels, with the external twill tape drawing attention to the seam lines and giving structure to the relaxed silhouette. Adjustable Drawcord Hem The drawcord hem can be cinched to alter the shape and volume of the jacket, allowing it to sit loose and boxy or gathered for a more defined silhouette.
