Tres Leches

Barleywine Blend of Missouri Barleywine and Barrel-Aged Missouri Barleywine Finished on Caramel Sauce, Vanilla Beans and Lactose Tres Leches starts as our MJK recipe. Our huge, sweet, sticky barleywine. It has always been aged in barrels, but the base beer, right from stainless steel, is already luxurious and exciting. After brewing and fermenting MJK, we then added caramel sauce, vanilla beans, and lactose to replicate the "milk cake" of Tres Leches! To further develop the depth and character, we chose several barrels of an experimental barleywine which had been aging in Willett Bourbon Barrels for 18 months, adding flavors which can only come with patience and time.
