The wool is shipped to Scotland where it is carded, spun, dyed and woven. The Isle Mill have tried and will continue to use British wool for certain projects and ranges but in general the fibres are too short which means they give a very rough profile finish as opposed to longer spun yarn in merino, which gives a softer finish.
