When Heiner Sauer reactivated his grandfather’s estate in 1986, it started with just 2.5 hectares. Right from the outset, he rejected conventional methods, committing fully to ecological viticulture. Stunning Pinot Noir and St Laurent blend aged 12 months in oak with a gorgeous, multi-dimensional bouquet. It starts with ripe red and dark forest berries (cherries, blackberries, strawberries) and wild berry jam, then unfolds into savory, smoky, and earthy tones with complex baking spices like clove, vanilla, anise, and white pepper.
