They do well in dry conditions and cannot tolerate long exposure to water. Prone to root rot. Repot only when rootbound. Temperature: Ideal temperature is between 18°C - 27°C. Light: Bright light, but mostly indirect. A south or west-facing window is ideal. Watering: Allow the soil to completely dry out before watering, and then water thoroughly. Do not water too often and water even less in the winter. Fertilizer: Fertilize sparingly. No more than once a month and only during the growing season (May - Aug). Use a diluted balanced fertilizer. Soil: Use a cactus soil mix or a regular potting soil with added perlite or sand to improve drainage.
