Old Growth Necklace

A cut-out oxidized sterling silver tree — bare branches extending to the rim of a circular frame — overlays a hammered brass disc, the warm gold of the brass visible through the open spaces between branches and trunk. The two-layer construction gives the pendant depth and clear mixed-metal contrast: matte darkened silver in the foreground, faceted hammered brass behind. The pendant measures 1⅜" across. The pendant hangs from an oxidized sterling silver chain adjustable from 18" to 20" via lobster clasp and 2" extender. Handcrafted in our Philadelphia studio.
