MARBLE MORTAR

Material: Carrara Marble Origin: Principality of Carrara Italian peninsula, circa 1730 Measurements: 34 cm ø x 17 cm high Carrara marble mortar carved in the early 18th century. With a concave bowl that holds a large volume and thin walls due to the high density and resistance of the marble rock, its outer perimeter is finished with four volumetric carvings that resemble a cup and give it a useful ergonomic shape.
