This adventure takes us through dramatic gritstone ridges, hidden woodland trails, panoramic viewpoints, and the legendary chasm of Lud’s Church. Whether you’re coming solo or with friends, this is more than just a hike — it’s a full outdoor experience. We’ll have a small USVE campsite setup ready for the community on Friday evening so you can settle in, relax around camp, connect with everyone, and wake up in the mountains ready for Saturday’s hike. No stress. No setup. Just arrive and enjoy the experience. Join the campsite and pitch up with the group. All pre-pitched tents will be fully setup before arrival. Camping spaces are extremely limited and available on a first come first served basis. Please car share where possible. THE ROUTE A stunning circular route through the best parts of The Roaches and surrounding trails. Route Details Distance: 12.5km Circular Elevation Gain: 424m Difficulty Technical Difficulty: 7/10 Fitness Level: 8/10 Recommended For: Intermediate to experienced hikers with a good base level of fitness. Expect uneven terrain, rocky sections, elevation, and a steady pace throughout the day. COACH PASSENGERS – IMPORTANT Please bring: Spare clothes for the journey home Sliders/trainers for after the hike Waterproofs & warm layers Water & snacks You’ll be able to leave a small bag on the coach during the hike.
