Wednesday Writers Online: Writing Sonnets
Writing poetry is often about following rules, but there is freedom in that sense of constraint. The sonnet is a particularly complex form, but it is strangely very malleable. Sonnets are satisfying to write, making you work hard and guiding you to solutions and new ways of thinking about language often resulting in writerly surprise and satisfaction. In this workshop, we’ll flex our linguistic muscles and see what comes out of our initial ideas. Hosted by Anne Rainbow, this creative writing workshop will be presented by Kerry Hadley-Pryce. 3 June 2026: 10am-1pm UK time For full details, visit https://www.scrivenervirgin.com/wednesday-writers-online/
