Glenfarclas 12 Year Old is a classic Speyside single malt with a richly sherried, fruit-forward profile, originally bottled for export and travel retail markets. Made at the foot of Ben Rinnes since 1836, this family-owned distillery has been run by the Grant family since 1865 and still champions traditional craft, including direct-fired stills and long maturation in exceptional Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. Named from the Gaelic for “Valley of the Green Grass,” Glenfarclas captures its lush Highland surroundings in a whisky that’s both welcoming and characterful. Expect balanced notes of dried fruits, toffee and gentle spice, followed by a smooth, lingering finish of raisins, soft vanilla and subtle oak.
