Quotations from Yellow are added to the canvas before the painting process begins, grounding the work in themes of harmony, equilibrium, and a search for balance. The quotations establish a connection between the paintings and the book, but are later concealed, leaving room for new interpretations, making each Yellow Painting a unique Yellow Space in its own right.
