Golden Sweet™ (Female) Seaberry
This valuable variety is from a breeding program headed by the late breeder Hans-Joachim Albrecht in Berlin, Germany. Beginning in 1971, he selected and hybridized this and other varieties of Sea Berry from plants growing in regions around the Baltic Sea. Fruit from these varieties is used for commercial juice production in Germany and the plants are well adapted to continental and coastal climates. Golden Sweet™ can grow 8 to 12 feet in height and produces good crops of large and relatively very sweet fruit which makes a delicious juice. Pollinator required – must be planted near a Male Seaberry in order to produce fruit.
