Orange Sapphire and enamel fox pendant and chain.
Orange sapphire and enamel fox pendant. This unique handmade pendant features a 17 mm central disk of fine (pure) silver. The fox motif is painted into a fox‑shaped recess carved into the silver. The design is created using the Limoges technique, in which multiple layers of finely ground glass “paint” are fused onto a white enamel base. This process requires more than half a dozen firings and takes many hours to complete. The enamelled disk is set into a hallmarked, hand‑carved sterling silver mount measuring 23 mm in diameter (just under one inch). The mount is set with 26 orange sapphires, each secured by hand using a traditional grain‑setting technique. The pendant is presented on a sturdy silver chain measuring 56 cm (22 inches), with an alternative fastening at 51 cm. Complimentary UK shipping will be provided. Bespoke solutions can be provided for international shipping and duty collection, please contact us for details. Notes on enamelled jewellery: Enamels are best treated as if they are opals, pearls or other more delicate jewels. These enamels cannot be easily repaired, so they should be treated as dress jewellery and not worn whilst engaging in sports or performing active tasks.
