HeatWave uses far infrared heat — a wavelength that penetrates several inches below the skin surface into muscle tissue, providing therapeutic warmth rather than just surface heat. It covers from the shoulders to the feet and includes high/low settings and a timer for customization. Most lift chairs that offer heat either don't include it as standard or limit it to the seat and back. On the PR-442, full-chair HeatWave is standard — included in the base price. Across all other DeLuna Series chairs, heat is either unavailable or a paid upgrade. If daily therapeutic heat is important to your purchase, the PR-442 is the most cost-efficient way to get it in a DeLuna chair. How does the PR-442 compare to the PR-448 Titan? Both are DeLuna Series chairs with MaxiComfort 4-zone positioning, power headrest, power lumbar, and pocketed coil spring seat. The PR-448 has the removable table and comes in one Medium size (5'–6'0"). The PR-442 Rhea adds HeatWave heat as standard, comes in Medium and Large (covering users up to 6'5"), and has dual cup holders (one per arm) but no removable table. Choose the PR-448 if you want the table feature and no heat. Choose the PR-442 if heat is important and/or you need the Large size. Does this chair have Twilight Technology? No — the PR-442 uses MaxiComfort 4-zone positioning only. No Twilight whole-chair tilt. If you want Twilight in the DeLuna Series, the PR-449 is the DeLuna option, though it does not include heat as standard.
