Polygard Anti-Freeze Si-OAT Coolant is the latest generation coolant, employing Hybrid Organic Additive Technology via a proprietary blend of traditional, silicate and organic acid corrosion inhibitor additives, in glycol, to provide all year round freezing, overheating and corrosion protection to your engine cooling system. It meets the performance requirements of international specifications alongside several OEM’s specifications for both light and heavy duty, protecting all metals commonly used in engine construction from corrosion and cavitation, including aluminium. It combines the protection of traditional Anti-Freeze and Coolant technology with the slower depletion rates of OAT formulations, giving extended anti-freeze life of up to 5 years, or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first). Polygard Anti-Freeze Si-OAT Coolant meets the performance requirements of BS 6580 (1992), ASTM D 3306, ASTM D 4985, Audi TL774-G, Bentley TL774-G, Bugatti TL774-G, Seat TL774-G, Skoda TL774-G, VW TL774-G, Porsche (1997 onwards), MAN from 12/2011 (MAN 324 Type Si-OAT), Mercedes Benz trucks from 10/2011 Specification 325.5. It is suitable for use in both petrol and diesel engines and is ideally suited to mixed fleet applications Directions Polygard Anti-Freeze Si-OAT Coolant is suitable for use in all climates and provides year round corrosion and freeze protection. When diluted with clean water it can provide freeze protection as low as – 70°C where extreme winters are usual. To ensure satisfactory freeze and corrosion protection the minimum concentration used should be 35% by volume and for heavy duty diesel applications 50% by volume is recommended. Consult engine manufacturer’s recommendations before use. The following freeze protection data should allow the end user to decide the degree of dilution necessary for his or her situation. Use only clean water to dilute the anti-freeze and NEVER use at concentrations greater than 70% by volume.
