Gearbox / cable selector bush - Rascal / Super Carry

This item replaces the plastic bush that goes onto the large ring end of the gear shift cable at the gearbox end as used on many Rascals. There is one per cable end as per the pictures. Usually there are plastic bushes there and a metal center tube that slides onto the 8mm selector pin, the metal center tube often seizes onto the pin and the bush wears and disintegrates instead. This Nylon bush replaces both and should be a tight push fit into the outer cable ring. As mentioned, the original metal sleeve often rusts onto the selector shaft so you may need to use grips or similar to free it off and remove it. We suggest super glue or thread lock compound or similar is used on the outer of the bush before pressing it into the cable ring with grips or similar, also apply some grease to the selector metal pin before fitting. We had these made to size as a small quantity , mainly to fulfill a need here, so the price reflects this, if demand warrants having a full batch made later then the manufacturing cost will drop to us and likewise to you.
