It was distilled in January 2015 and spent its full maturation journey aging in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel. A brilliant opportunity to explore the intricacies of this beloved single malt distillery. Official tasting notes: Nose: Fresh pineapple, peach and melon leap from the glass alongside vanilla custard, buttercream and honey. The coastal character of Inchgower adds a subtle saline edge beneath the sweetness. Palate: Tropical fruits continue with ripe peach, melon and citrus oils. Waves of vanilla fudge, toasted oak and baking spices build across the palate, balanced by a slightly waxy texture and a hint of sea spray. Finish: Warming oak spice, vanilla pod and a lingering note of dark treacle and molasses.
