Carbon Road SL – Raw Carbon - SRAM Rival 1x13 Aero Package
SL = Super Light. 1x = No Compromise. The Carbon Road SL 1x Aero Package is the most race-focused build in our Carbon Road lineup. Same raw carbon SL frame — UV protective coating, minimal oil slick decals, ~300g lighter than the Standard — now paired with a 13-speed SRAM Rival XPLR AXS 1x drivetrain built around an exclusive aero crank developed with SRAM specifically for State Bicycle Co. No front derailleur. No cable clutter. Around 150g lighter than the 2x build, with a cleaner cockpit and a drivetrain built for speed. One chainring. One battery. Everything you need, nothing you don't. The crank you can't buy anywhere else. We worked directly with SRAM to spec a custom 48t aero crank for the Rival XPLR groupset — available exclusively through State Bicycle Co. It's not a catalog part. The aero profile reduces drag, the 48t ring is optimized for road and mixed-surface riding, and it pairs perfectly with the 13-speed 10–46t cassette for a wide, seamless range without a front derailleur in the way. This is the same 1x aero setup pro riders are running in the Spring Classics — at a price that doesn't require a team sponsorship. Platform Highlights SL = Super Light — Raw carbon finish, UV protective coating, minimal oil slick decals. ~300g lighter than Standard (size M). 1x Aero Package — ~150g lighter than 2x — No front derailleur, no FD cable, no extra weight. Cleaner lines, lower drag. Exclusive SRAM Aero Crank — Custom 48t aero crank developed with SRAM. Tire Clearance up to 32mm — Fast-rolling and practical for mixed-surface days and real-world training. Fully Internal Cable Routing — Every cable disappears into the frame for a clean race aesthetic and reduced drag. T47 Threaded Bottom Bracket — Greater stiffness than press-fit, better bearing longevity, straightforward home maintenance. UDH-Compatible Derailleur Hanger — Future-proof and universally replaceable. Integrated Carbon Cockpit (Included) — Saves 180g over the Standard semi-internal cockpit. Standard builds pay $249.99 for this. SL riders get it in the box. We worked with world-renowned bike fitters to spec each size the way a professional fitter actually would. Shorter cranks reduce hip impingement and improve power output. Narrower bars match real shoulder widths. The result is a cockpit and drivetrain that fits from the first ride — built into the bike, not bolted on as an afterthought. Assembly ⚠️ ⚠️ Professional Assembly Strongly Recommended This bike ships unassembled to ensure the fastest possible turnaround time. Assembly will require crank installation, wheel installation, cockpit/fork setup, internal cable routing adjustments, derailleur indexing, brake setup, and general tuning. Please note: the carbon fork steerer tube ships uncut and must be cut during assembly. Carbon steer tubes do not grow back — once cut, they cannot be lengthened. Because of the fully integrated internal routing and performance-focused design of these bikes, professional assembly by an experienced bicycle mechanic is strongly recommended. We highly encourage establishing a relationship with a trusted local bike shop for assembly, fitment, and future maintenance. Improper assembly or steerer tube cutting may result in damage, unsafe riding conditions, or voided warranty coverage. All Carbon bikes are shipped from Phoenix, Arizona. 🌵 Weight Carbon Road SL 1x Aero w/ DT Swiss A1800 (size M) approx. 17 lb 3 oz Carbon Road SL 1x Aero w/ ENVE AR40 (size M) approx. 16 lb 9 oz Want to get technical?
