Carved Oak Louis XV Dining Room Table and Chairs, Seven Piece Set

Crafted from oak and finished with a dark stain, this stunning dining set is comprised of a table and six chairs. Carved shells, ribbon, and scrolled leaves consistent with Louis XV style furniture adorn the apron, skirts, and legs. The table's legs are united by stretchers that are joined at the center by a beautiful, pierced carving, providing style and support. With a beveled top and rounded, protruding corners, the table top can accommodate four leaves, which extend the table's width to 10 feet 6 inches. Four additional legs under the table top can be unfolded for additional support. The six elegant chairs have cane seats and a height of 18.5" inches. Queen Anne legs that terminate in split hooves support the table and chairs. Condition: Consistent with age and use. Chips, dings, scratches, and cracks as expected of a piece from this era. Repair to one chair at back and seat joint. Glue is visible. See photo.
